The Mauritius Command - BBC Radio 4

feroxargentea posted on hms_surprise that there will be a radio adaptation of The Mauritius Command starting this coming Sunday.

The Radio Times listing says: Gather up your cross-catharpins, hoist the commodore's broad pendant and clew up the main and fore courses, there! It's the fourth in Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin series of stories about Captain Jack (the 19th-century Royal Navy officer, not Johnny Depp) and ship's surgeon Stephen Maturin. Like Holmes and Watson or Morse and Lewis, each man is the perfect foil for the other and those damned Frenchies have no real hope of victory. Perfect fare - if swashbuckling is how you want to spend your Sunday afternoon.

Maybe there is someone out there who will be able to catch the programme for those of us not so fortunate to listen in to BBC radio 4
